Content Guidelines and Restrictions

Permitted

  • Standard character illustrations.
  • Adult / NSFW content — pinups, specific scenes.
  • Specific niche or kink content. Given the breadth of niche requests, detail your concept upfront. Acceptance is evaluated case by case and remains entirely at my discretion.

Not permitted

  • Extreme or taboo paraphilias — e.g. scat, watersports.
  • Bestiality.
  • Anthropomorphic / furry designs. Marginal features such as animal ears, tails, or whiskers are fine.
  • Real-world individuals.
  • Real-world political iconography intended to provoke.
  • Politically motivated art beyond the realm of fiction.
  • CSAM-adjacent material, or sexual depictions of child-coded characters in the body of a child or otherwise unambiguously a minor.
  • Gratuitous, extreme, or tasteless depictions of gore.
  • Sequential art, comic formatting, or multi-panel storyboards.

II

Rate of Service

Base rates for standard and specialty items are listed under Rates above. Rates are fixed as listed. The following modifiers apply on top of the base rate:

NSFW premium+$15
Out-of-scope fee — requests requiring heavy stylistic deviation+$50
Revision fee — per major revision after the initial two free revisions+$10

III

Usage Rights and Commercial Fees

I retain all first ownership and copyright of the original illustrations I create. Any illustration featuring the intellectual property of a respective rightsholder — fanart, for instance — is classified as a derivative work. A personal licence is granted upon successful payment and delivery. No work will be conducted under a work-for-hire arrangement.

Licences and price adjustment — the listed rate is multiplied by the licence you need.

1× Personal use Private enjoyment, personal profiles, non-profit sharing.
3× Content creator use Monetised social media, streaming platforms, personal branding.
5× Business use Recognised businesses or studios, for commercial deployment.

All illustrations I provide fall under the moral rights outlined by the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works:

  1. Right of attribution. My right to be appropriately credited for work that I create.
  2. Right against false attribution. My right not to have work I did not create attributed to me.
  3. Right of integrity. My right to object to alterations of my work that would harm my character, honour, or standing.

Failure to adhere to these principles will result in appropriate action taken.

IV

Conduct and Expectations

Original characters and unofficial redesigns. At this time I am strictly limiting my commission work to established, official characters from existing media franchises. I am not accepting requests for original characters, self-inserts beyond a generic stand-in, or modifications of canon characters heavy enough to make them unrecognisable.

Professional conduct. To keep your project moving, communication stays focused on the artwork and rates stay fixed as listed. Naturally, a little bit of conversation is expected — do not take it as if we can never talk, lol.

NSFW boundaries. Expressing enthusiasm behind an NSFW commission is expected. Continuous unsolicited explicit imagery, or sexual conversation not relevant to the project, is not tolerated. Violation results in immediate cancellation without refund and a permanent blacklist.

Right of refusal. I reserve the right to decline any project, or any requested change, that falls outside my comfort zone, my technical scope, or my artistic lens.

V

Payment Terms

100% upfront. Payment is made in full via PayPal. Work does not commence until payment has fully cleared.

No refunds. You are compensating me for my time, expertise, and established style, and for the trust placed in my ability to deliver. Providing accurate references upfront is your responsibility. Refunds are not issued once work has begun.

Chargebacks. Any chargeback initiated before, during, or after the creation of the artwork results in a permanent blacklist and the immediate revocation of all usage rights to the illustration.

VI

The Process

Detailed requests containing photobashes, sketches, and clear references are heavily encouraged.

  1. Payment. Cleared and verified.
  2. Conceptual stage. Only if I believe it is needed.
  3. Lineart. The first major milestone. Watermarked.
  4. Base values / rendering. Advanced iteration. Watermarked.
  5. Final product. Delivered at full resolution, watermark removed. No further revisions accepted.

A major revision constitutes correcting an identified discrepancy or a subversion of expectations. Minor cleanups — misregistrations and the like — are fixed at no cost. You are allotted two free major revisions during the lineart and early value stages. Any revision beyond those two incurs a $10 fee per request, and production halts until the fee is paid.

VII

Deadlines and Communication

I work a full-time job and will spend what time I can on an artwork, expeditiously and in a timely manner.

Expected turnaround after confirmed payment is roughly 1–3 days of planning and preparation — discussion, sketching — followed by a 1–3 day period of beginning work. Should any factor before or during a commission cause a delay, I will inform you of it.

Communication is appropriate during the request phase, for any updates, and naturally for any conversation that follows a completed commission. I do not provide art updates or engage in non-professional conversation at will. To protect uninterrupted focus on your art, updates are provided exclusively at established project milestones, where they are to be expected.

VIII

Validity of Request

Put this at the very top of your commission request:

“Green Ships Beat White Ships”

This code signifies that you have faithfully reviewed and intend to honour the terms and conditions you are agreeing to as a commissioner.
